This series of paintings are based on the exploration and analysis of Hunters Wood State in south Dublin and its surroundings.
Hunters Wood is located and the edge of the city, next to the Dublin mountains and the M50 Motorway.
I like to reflect the space and its configuration through the individual and its place in the group-society.
The paradox on being individual with the constant boundaries with which we find ourselves daily, which delimit and force to get organized.
I use accumulation, repetition and order in my work.

This series of works come from the research and cataloguing of different photo editions about architecture and urbanism dating the expansion that occur in many cities in the second half of the 20th century.
After researching and cataloguing different images I made composites-collages creating new landscapes that relate to the original ones but re-create new spaces in a ironic retake that emphasise the idea of repetition and over expansion in the construction of cities and societies

Corporate Models, 2014.
35 x Acrylic on canvas, 25x20cm
At first glance these paintings look like portraits of different business people, but in fact the portraits are based on various image banks and catalogs of corporate photography, in wich models/actors were the subjects of the portrait.
The catalogue of poses, attitudes and gestures indicate authority and power in different, typical, cliché ways. As well as the palete of greys and blues relate to corporate enviroments.
The way they are portrayed, as a simple outline like make-up, is intended as to define only the superficial part of the subjects, what really represent them, creating a series of phantom portraits that show more the corporate identity than the personality of them.

This is a series of paintings about offices, where I put special interest in portraying meeting spaces
to explore the relationship of space and its elements as a reflection of people that inhabit them.
They are meeting spaces, decision-making, which can be formed from a group or the influence of a superior subject.
These spaces bring us the idea of power from the organization of the elements that appear in each scenario.

My objective in painting is to unify the elements by creating a musical score
of repetitions, a randomness of personalities within the ordered system and tiny particularities that are impossible to sustain from the whole.

I like to portray groups,
and how they bring people together,
but at the same time restrict the individual and force him to stand out from the others.
My paintings are about individual personalities and how it comes into conflict with the group or collective, drawing on the traits that differentiate us within a society that tends to make everyone equal and classify us within organisational structures.
